No affiliate deal changes what we recommend.

Ratings are set before commission rates are even looked up. If a partner pays more, they don't climb the list. If they slip, they drop — regardless of payout.

How we work

The four-step review loop.

Every brand on CompassPicks goes through this. It takes 20-40 minutes per listing and kills about one in three candidates.

01

Vet the merchant

Registered address, contact channel, returns/refund terms. If we can't find them in two minutes, we pass.

02

Test the experience

Where possible, we complete a test transaction or onboarding and record the experience end-to-end.

03

Cross-check reviews

Trustpilot, Sitejabber, BBB, Reddit — recent 20 entries read by a human editor, weighted by recency.

04

Publish & revisit

Every listing is re-reviewed every 90 days. Ratings can rise — and can also drop or be pulled.

IHG One Rewards: The Complete Guide

How IHG's loyalty program actually works, from earning rates to award redemption quirks — 6,000+ hotels and a surprisingly strong mid-tier footprint.

Company setup

Wyoming LLC vs Delaware LLC

Delaware has the brand recognition. Wyoming has the numbers. For most non-resident founders, Wyoming is often the better pick — here's the decision framework.
